Alexandria Texieria
Administrative & Client Relations Specialist
My name is Alexandria Teixeira. In December 2014, a C4–C5 spinal cord injury from a car accident changed my life. After emergency care at Tufts Medical Center and spinal surgery, I began rehab at Spalding. The early days were the hardest—unable to move or speak, my first goal was simply to regain my voice and lung function. Through persistence, I did.
Over the past decade, I’ve made significant progress: I can sit in my chair for over 10 hours without a headrest, balance on the edge of a table, and independently position my left arm thanks to newly developed bicep strength. None of this would’ve been possible without consistent OT and PT at Project Walk Boston.
I bring to Project Walk Boston not only my administrative skills, but also a deep personal understanding of rehabilitation, perseverance, and the power of small victories. My journey has shaped me into a committed, empathetic, and resilient team member, dedicated to supporting others in their own recovery.
Daniele Gentile
Chief Operating Officer / Recovery Specialist
Daniele, a dedicated member of the Project Walk Boston team since its inception in 2015, is one of the two trainers who played a crucial role in establishing the facility. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in disability studies from the University of Massachusetts. In addition, Daniele is an advanced EMT and works on a per diem basis for a private ambulance company. Despite her busy schedule, she finds joy in spending time with her family and visiting the beach whenever possible. She also has a passion for volunteering and making a positive impact in her community.
One of Daniele’s notable contributions is the creation of an adaptive hockey program called “The New England Bombers” in collaboration with a fellow mother of a special needs child. This program enables children with various disabilities to participate in ice hockey, granting them the opportunities they deserve. For more information on upcoming skates, please check their Facebook or Instagram pages.
With over 8 years of experience in the field of paralysis recovery and more than 7000 hours of hands-on training, Daniele has worked her way up from a recovery assistant while completing her degree to a managerial position at Project Walk Boston. She also established an internship program, providing valuable hands-on experience to students from high schools and universities. Daniele strongly believes that such opportunities not only benefit students in the real world but also offer them a unique perspective on life. Known for her innovative thinking, she constantly seeks new ways to challenge her clients and approaches her work with enthusiasm and dedication.
When not immersed in her role at Project Walk, Daniele can be found enjoying the sun on the beach, playing ice hockey, or spending quality time with her friends and family.
